Goldman Sachs CEO Believes Bitcoin is Not a Threat to the US Dollar

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon believes that Bitcoin does not pose a threat to the US dollar and can bring value to banks.

In an interview with CNBC at the World Economic Forum, he expressed his confidence in the stability of the US dollar and his view that Bitcoin is an interesting speculative asset.

Solomon also highlighted Goldman Sachs’ research into Bitcoin’s underlying technology, which they are testing to potentially reduce friction in the financial system.

However, he noted that current regulations do not allow banks to own or trade Bitcoin.

He added that if regulatory changes occur, the discussion about Bitcoin’s role in the financial system could also change.
